Bose Professional Explores Innovation Potential in Mangaluru

This September, Mangaluru witnessed a landmark moment as John Maier, CEO of Bose Professional, travelled all the way from Boston, USA, to the city that hosts Bose’s only operational office in India. His visit carried a bold vision: to expand the company’s footprint in India by establishing more R&D centres in Mangaluru and tapping into the potential of the city’s thriving technology and innovation ecosystem.

A high-profile roundtable hosted during the visit brought together academic leaders, technology experts, consulting professionals, and industry visionaries. Participants included Ravi B. from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Commander(Dr) Anil Rana from Manipal Institute of Technology, and representatives from Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. Leading technology minds such as Brijesh Balakrishnan (Infosys), Rajendra Shenoy (LCode Technologies Private Limited), Mohammed Hanif (Novigo Solutions), Shivanand Shetty (MResult), and Suyog Shetty (Niveus Solutions) also joined the discussion.

Consulting experts including Michael Andrade (Lykora Consulting Services Private Limited) and Kamal Karanth (Xpheno), alongside leadership from Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM)—Chetan Dixit, Mukesh S, and the Silicon Beach Program—Ahmed Mudassar (KCCI), and Natraj Hegde, lent their insights on accelerating Mangaluru’s rise as a global innovation hub.

The discussions were expertly facilitated by Johnson Tellis, CEO of InUnity – Innovation for Community, who guided conversations on how Mangaluru’s ecosystem can provide meaningful support to the newly established Bose Professional R&D GCC. A special acknowledgment was given to Deputy Commissioner Darshan H V IAS, whose insights into the city’s policy direction strengthened the momentum behind Bose’s vision.

The visit also marked recognition of the commendable efforts of Mukund MGM Realty, Gurudatta Shenoy, and Mahesh Shetty, who played a key role in orchestrating this milestone event.
