The United Nations states that Happiness is a fundamental human goal and calls for “a more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes the happiness and well-being of all peoples.”

In today’s fast-paced world, happiness at the workplace has emerged as a cornerstone of employee well-being and organizational success.

Recognizing the profound impact of happiness on productivity, engagement, and overall life satisfaction, United Nations has made March 20th as the International Happiness Day to “recognize the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world.”

The Global HR Community and Amazing Workplace Inc (the Employee Happiness Company) came together on this special day to strive to create Happy environments that foster joy and fulfilment at the workplace. They organised a webinar on “Happiness at the Work Place” on 20th March 2024.

The webinar was hosted by the Global HR Community’s GHRC Talk Show and was moderated by Ramesh Ranjan, Co-Founder & CEO. We had on the show Shon Holyfield, the CEO of Amazing Workplace Inc and Sreekanth Arimanithaya, the Entrepreneur in Residence & CHRO of Machani Group of Companies &nthe Co Founder of Global HR Community.

The meeting focused on various topics related to workplace happiness, with an emphasis on the importance of employee well-being and its impact on productivity and engagement. Shon shared his research on the definition of happiness and its effects on employee engagement, while Sreekanth emphasized the growing focus on employee happiness in organizations and its impact on productivity, innovation, and customer satisfaction. The conversation continued with introduction of Shon’s work on developing the first-ever employee happiness management system. Later, the team discussed plans to expand the Amazing Workplace platform to the Asia Pacific region and the Middle East. Towards the end, they discussed a collaboration to facilitate organization growth and transformation, emphasizing the need for an employee listening platform.
