Yesterday the Global HR Community was pleased to organise the Empower HER: A Womens Entrepreneurship program at the picturesque Tamarind Tree Resort in Bangalore. Over 100 delegates attended in person for our launch of Women Entrepreneurship round table with an additional 150+ joining online.

Life Portfolio.Joni Rogers-Kante a Single Mother with 100$ at home and grown to a multi-billion dollar company. Profound advise to aspiring women entrepreneurs was so inspiring.
Kamala Raghunath – partially visually challenged who has demonstrated that despite challenges we can achieve whatever we want as long as we have fire in the belly and not to give up.
Dr. Chandana Bhattacharya shared her work on EkaKanya where they have developed special course curriculum for rural children and train them to be ready for employment.
There were about a dozen employees who have benefited from this program and employed by the Indivillage Tech Solutions and were brought from Raichur, Rajasthan, Anantpur, Varanasi etc and introduced themselves and the work they do. Some of them are supporting data analytics, visual analytics, e commerce and other areas for clients from the US.
One of them shared a touching story of how she worked and saved money to buy a house for her mother a single parent within 5 yrs of working.
We also had some fun with all the participants participating in the competition paint your smile, with the lipsticks gifted by Joni company Sengence.
All in all a great program well attended and well received. The inspiring stories from Joni, Kamala & Dr Chandana reinforced that Women are no less than other genders and in many instances better than the others .
