Nurturing Young Minds: IndiVillage Foundation’s Mission to Empower and Educate

In the academic year 2024–25, IndiVillage Foundation, in collaboration with Annapoorna Trust, made significant strides toward transforming the lives of children across Karnataka. Their joint efforts reached an impressive 50,000 students across 330 schools in the districts of Raichur, Bagalkot, and Udupi, with a special emphasis on Raichur—a district identified as Aspirational due to its developmental challenges.
Understanding the urgent nutritional needs of students, especially in underserved areas, the partnership introduced the SaiSure Millet (Ragi) Fortified Health Mix, distributed alongside government-sponsored milk under the Ksheera Bhagya scheme. This intervention not only ensured better nourishment but also supported cognitive development and classroom performance, especially in Raichur, where the need is most acute.
But IndiVillage Foundation’s impact doesn’t stop at nutrition.
With a vision to create lasting change, the Foundation focuses on enhancing foundational literacy and social-emotional learning for children aged 4 to 8. Through the setup of mini-libraries stocked with engaging storybooks, IndiVillage is sparking curiosity, imagination, and a deep love for reading among early learners. These thoughtfully designed spaces provide children with access to stories that entertain, educate, and empower—laying the groundwork for lifelong learning.
Every book opened, every story read, and every nutritional meal served is a step toward a brighter, healthier, and more hopeful future for India’s children.
Together, we’re building a future where every child is healthy, educated, and inspired to soar.
