Unlocking the Power of Data Through Facilitation: Highlights from GHRC’s Transformative Webinar

On Saturday, June 28, the Global HR Community (GHRC) hosted a powerful and engaging webinar titled “Facilitation for the Data-Driven Organisation”. The session brought together HR and business professionals from across industries to explore a critical question in today’s information-saturated world: How can facilitation help us make better sense of data and turn it into meaningful action?

The event opened with a warm welcome by Akshay and GHRC co-founder Ramesh Ranjan, who introduced GHRC as a dynamic, AI-enabled platform designed to help leaders connect, learn, grow, and contribute. With participants joining in from varied sectors and geographies, the virtual space quickly became a vibrant hub of peer learning and exchange.

Humanizing Data in the Workplace

Facilitators Vandana and Pepe Nummi Founder of Grape People and an internationally recognized voice in facilitation led the session. Together, they unpacked the evolving role of facilitation in transforming how organizations engage with data. Moving beyond charts and dashboards, they emphasized the need for human-centered dialogue around data that fosters clarity, alignment, and action.

Pepe introduced a practical three-stage facilitation model  Clarify → Strategize → Act  aimed at turning complex data into collaborative decision-making. Participants explored how psychological safety, emotional intelligence, and structured conversations are crucial to making data not just accessible but actionable.

Key Takeaways and Tools Introduced

  • A deep dive into the Cycle of Perception, which helps leaders understand how individuals interpret data.

  • The Change Story Framework, a tool for connecting data with strategic narratives.

  • Dynamic Facilitation, a method that encourages creative problem-solving in complex or emotionally charged environments.

  • Insightful discussion around data overload, quality concerns, and the emotional intelligence gap in data-centric cultures.

India Launch of the ACF Program

A major highlight of the session was the India launch of the Associate Certified Facilitator (ACF) program by Grape People. The announcement of a live session in Bangalore this September was met with great enthusiasm. Participants expressed a strong interest in further learning opportunities, certification programs, and future GHRC-led facilitation experiences.

A Call for Data-Savvy, People-Centric Leadership

This highly interactive webinar reaffirmed GHRC’s commitment to equipping HR and business leaders with the tools and mindsets needed for today’s fast-evolving workplace. As data continues to shape decisions, GHRC champions the role of facilitation in bridging the gap between insight and impact.
