To join a group on the GHRC platform, follow these simple steps. The Groups feature can be found under the “Connect” menu on the left sidebar. Clicking on “Groups” will take users to a page displaying all available groups. Groups are organized by views such as “Newest,” “Active,” and “Popular,” allowing easy exploration and browsing. Users can also filter groups by criteria like “Newly Created” or “Most Active.”
For Public Groups, joining is straightforward. Just click the “Join Group” button next to the group name. For instance, groups with a “+ Join Group” button allow users to become members instantly, without requiring approval from an organizer.
For Private Groups, users will need to request access. Private groups are marked by a lock icon. Instead of a direct join button, a “Request Access” option is available. When clicked, a notification is sent to the group organizer for approval. Once approved, users become members and gain access to the group’s content.
Hidden groups, however, do not allow joining or requesting access.
