15 Years of IndiVillage: A Journey of Impact and Innovation

Fifteen years ago, the seeds of IndiVillage Tech Solutions were sown with a profound vision—to create sustainable job opportunities and drive transformation in rural India. Founded in 2010 by Ravi Machani, IndiVillage began as a single tech center in Yemmiganur, a tier-3 town in India. Today, it stands as a testament to the power of entrepreneurship and social responsibility, operating 11 managed tech centers across the country.

The inspiration behind IndiVillage stemmed from a conversation between Ravi Machani and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. When asked what an entrepreneur could do for the country, Dr. Kalam’s response was simple yet powerful: “Create more jobs for people in the country.” This guiding principle became the foundation upon which IndiVillage was built, shaping its mission to generate employment, nurture talent, and drive sustainable change in underserved communities.

Over the years, IndiVillage has evolved beyond being just a business entity. It has become a force for good, uplifting the communities of its employees through the IndiVillage Foundation. Focused on bridging learning and skill gaps, the foundation  is looking forward to impacting 100,000 lives by the end of the year.
