Hiring for the post of Programme Manager – Health Grants

Responsibilities:
- Building and managing a portfolio of civil society partners working in community health with focus on comprehensive primary care.
- Conceptualizing and running “call for community health programme grant requests” from identified geographies annually.
- Developing grant proposals for multiyear grants, conducting thorough due diligences, and ensuring timely disbursals.
- Sharing partner learnings and experiences from the ground with the broader team. Capturing insights and lessons learnt regularly in easy to disseminate forms.
- Helping partners to track and capture effects of their work in alignment with the overall framework in Azim Premji Foundation – Health unit.
- Facilitating and managing a forum/network for partners working in community health and engaging with the public health system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- At least 8 + years of work experience in public health and/or community health
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including NGOs, donors and subject matter experts.
- Experience in public systems (Health) engagement, prior experience in grant-making will be an added advantage
- Must be willing to travel 40 – 50% of the time.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- High level of self-motivation, initiative and creativity
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and solve problems independently or collaboratively as needed
Location: Bangalore based, with extensive travel.
