Revisiting the wisdom of the great Edgar Schein, his words ring ever true in our quest at Amazing Workplace to create thriving workplace cultures. Schein reminds us that culture isn’t just an abstract concept—it’s the lifeblood of our organizations, shaping every action and decision.
And most important of all it starts and ends with HAPPINESS 😊
What resonates with me are his ten insights (see attached) particularly the notion that culture is less about what we explicitly focus on and more about the organic result of our collective problem-solving and shared experiences.
What Shon refers to as “ How we work and what we do daily”
With AWP, we help enterprises to support these insights, especially when Schein encourages us to:
⦾ Focus on challenges, not just “culture” as a buzzword
⦾See culture as a living, evolving entity shaped by shared learning.
⦾ Value genuine behavior change that drives results, not just surface modifications.
We take pride in helping all enterprises to fully leverage the Employee Happiness Management System to measure and enhance the components of culture, including purpose, values, behaviors, recognition, rituals, and cues. We see these components not just as parts of a diagram but as actionable insights that drive strategy and our commitment to building workplaces where happiness and performance go hand in hand.
As we continue to shape culture through the uniqueness of AWP, we do so not by enforcing rigid frameworks, but by nurturing the environment that allows culture to evolve authentically everywhere
We believe in cultivating relationships based on trust and openness, which is essential for fostering a culture of engagement and innovation.
