The ‘wing-wave’, is a gentle dip of the plane from one side to another, is generally done by cargo planes to say ‘goodbye’ as the aircraft will never again see the home airport where it was made.
The history of the wing wave can be traced back to the early days of aviation when pilots began to perform aerial displays and stunts to showcase the capabilities of their aircraft.
