A TEDxBerlin talk by Martin Gutmann titled “Why do we celebrate incompetent leaders?”

He emphasizes the notion that good leadership often appears “boring” because it lacks the dramatic flair and brash behavior that is frequently celebrated.

Gutmann argues that society tends to praise leaders who are loud and action-oriented, but true leadership doesn’t require excessive noise or activity. He supports this view by referencing contemporary research and historical examples, such as Ernest Shackleton, who is known for his adventurous expeditions but also for his leadership failures. Gutmann’s message is to challenge the conventional understanding of leadership and to recognize that effective leadership can be quiet and understated.https://youtu.be/DU06c7f9fzc?

Unfortunately, Leadership is being evaluated based on perceptions & dramatised instead of Leader’s core stregnths, value they bring to the table..Everyone is in a hurry…
