In this video, viewers will learn how to use the messaging feature on the GHRC platform to connect and communicate with other members. This feature enables direct, private conversations, making it easier to network, collaborate, and engage with peers and colleagues.
To access messaging, navigate to the “Connect” menu on the GHRC portal sidebar and select “Messages.” This will open the messaging section, where all current conversations are listed. Each conversation displays the member’s name, recent messages, and the time of the last interaction. By clicking the three vertical dots next to a conversation, users can access options like “Archived Messages” and “Notification Preferences.”
Starting a new conversation is simple: click on the Create Icon in the message panel, enter the member’s name, type a message, and press Enter to send. Users can also start a direct message from a member’s profile card by clicking the Message Icon.
Once a conversation is selected, it appears on the right side of the screen, showing past messages and allowing new ones to be sent. Additional options, accessible by clicking the three vertical dots in the chat window, include:
– Mark as Unread: Save the conversation for later review.
– Archive: Clean up the inbox without deleting the conversation.
– Delete Your Messages: Remove all messages sent in a conversation.
– Delete Conversation: Permanently delete the conversation thread.
The messaging feature also supports group chats for collaborative discussions, with message notifications ensuring users stay updated.
Overall, GHRC’s messaging tool is designed to strengthen connections within the community. Whether used for one-on-one chats or group discussions, this feature enhances communication, helping users expand their network and stay engaged with peers.
