Job Description:
The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the Business Leaders in India with developing employees and managing Employee Relations. This position is responsible for performing a variety of HR duties, including employee relations, HRIS management, benefits administration, recruitment, and employee development. The HR Generalist will ensure compliance with employment laws and corporate policies while fostering a culture of collaboration and driving strategic HR initiatives that propel our company’s growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to HR Business Partners in various HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and learning & development.
- Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing general HR questions and concerns.
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and generating reports as needed.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
- Partner with the training and recruiting teams to ensure training and development programs align with corporate policies and employment law compliance.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Manage office administration tasks and support the Office Manager as needed.
- Oversee the administration of the Indian Provident Fund and pension requirements.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with current and pending employment legislation.
- Administer Team Building exercise, Festival celebration as needed.
- Assist with Building Local Policies curated to India.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong business acumen and the ability to establish credibility, trust, and partnership at all levels within the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation, and facilitation).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good understanding of Local Labour Laws.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP®) by the International Institute of Human Resource (IIHR) is preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience as a human resources generalist with employee relations responsibilities.
- Basic understanding of and/or experience in compensation, benefits, and recruiting.
