Shutterstock is looking for a highly motivated and driven Junior Sales Executive to join our Enterprise Sales team. This role is ideal for those with experience in sales development looking to grow into a closing role. You will focus primarily on prospecting and lead generation , identifying potential customers, and assisting in the sales cycle while holding a small sales quota .

The Day-to-Day

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and other outreach methods to generate new business opportunities.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and build a pipeline of early-stage prospects.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop targeted outreach strategies for specific market segments.
  • Research potential clients and gather intelligence on market trends, competitors, and industry opportunities .
  • Initiate and manage outbound discovery calls and email campaigns to engage with prospective clients.
  • Work towards individual quota and performance targets , closing small deals that will contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and prospect data in Salesforce and other CRM tools .
  • Provide post-sale support to ensure successful product adoption before transitioning the account to a Client Partner.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • 1-3 years of sales experience , preferably in outbound prospecting, lead generation, or inside sales, including experience as a sales development representative.
  • A strong desire to grow into a closing role , with a passion for building relationships and driving revenue.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers effectively.
  • Ability to conduct thorough market research and identify high-potential leads.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills , with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM tools is an asset.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, content licensing, or the creative industry is a plus.
  • A self-motivated, results-oriented approach with a “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn.

The Pay Range For This Position Is Below

  • 85,000 - 93,000 per year in New York

Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Specialist drives ongoing enhancements to content accessibility and sales enablement. A member of the Digital Marketing team, this role is responsible for the management of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system and the portals which are used to distribute marketing assets (marketing materials, templates, images, videos).

Managing the platform to ensure digital assets are efficiently stored, organised, and easily accessible, empowering Sales and Marketing teams to leverage high-quality content for customer engagement. Responsible for coordinating asset governance, optimising asset-sharing, and driving user adoption. Responsible for the optimisation of the portals, including owning the sales content hub. Primary Responsibilities / Key Result Areas

  • Management of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. Responsible for the processes and platform for the storage and sharing of marketing assets across SES
  • Manage customised asset portals and collections to improve asset discovery for the wider organisation. Use data to drive improvements to the display, sharing and collections of assets
  • Owns the Sales Content Hub site, documenting feature requests and requirements from sales, product marketing and other key stakeholders, and implementing enhancements that improve the user experience of the asset portal

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Performance Marketing employee to join our team. This individual will play a key role in supporting our performance marketing initiatives related to Total Wireless, Visible, Verizon Prepaid, and Simple Mobile by collaborating with cross-functional teams and agencies to drive customer growth. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple projects, learning new systems, and communicating initiatives effectively.

What You’ll Be Doing

Campaign Management and Communication Support:

  • Ensuring teams are aligned on campaign timing and messaging by upholding a performance marketing specific promotional calendar and communicating promotional changes including flight and disclaimer changes to impacted teams.
  • Informing team on promotional details including screenshots or flowcharts of how the promotional will work in different environments (direct site, exclusive stores, retail.)
  • Reviewing new initiative decks from CRO, IMC, OMS, PMO or other internal partners to create a Performance Marketing Group (PMG) Key Initiatives Deck for internal team use which should outline big rock initiatives and track how each PMG group will support.
  • Gathering cumulative team questions on promos and initiatives and work with key stakeholders to clarify details and dates. Raise any red flags to the team as needed.
  • Providing a comprehensive overview of ongoing PMG campaigns with corresponding creative assets by maintaining performance marketing quarterly in-market decks.
  • Sharing weekly and ad-hoc recaps via slack or email announcing campaign launches, performance results, and any important initiative updates.
  • Leading special projects on an ad hoc basis and as workload allows.
  • Assisting with invoice reconciliation as needed.

Quality Assurance & Implementation Support

  • Reviewing all creative across PMG channels to ensure content is accurate (ie. promo/qualification details, valid dates), content is compliant (ie. brand and messaging guidelines, disclaimers) and landing pages are optimal (content on landing page matches creative, links are UTM or CPM tagged, count as quality visit.)
  • Reviewing all item setup content provided by eTail leads and agencies for quality assurance and own implementation of item setup across key retailers like Walmart, Amazon, Target, Best Buy, eBay, Kroger, Meijer and others by access retailer platforms and uploading item content (images, titles, descriptions, etc.) Troubleshoot errors as needed.
  • Reviewing all service plan setup content provided by channel leads and agencies for quality assurance and own implementation of service plan setups with aggregators (ie. Incomm, BlackHawk) including sharing setup forms and images, reviewing and approving email templates, and reviewing live content.
